We <3 Terence
He's such a sweetheart. He posted his event which he invited the band to play here. He actually associated the term "great band" with us. Such a nice guy. If that doesn't warrant a beer from us, I don't know what does. Heh, we are that cheap.
In any case, it's a little early to do some advertising but we'd playing at Timbre on Saturday 9 June 2007. We go on at 730pm. Here are some of the other bands we'd be playing along with. Should be fun. Hopefully, we'd get to play 4 new tunes (which is reworked versions of some older tunes that didn't really work) and incorporating samples and programmed beats into the set.
Weng Weng
Got it from Kinho. Hilarious.
Amy Winehouse & Paul Weller - I Heard It Through The Grapevine (live)

Feist - 1234
I love her cover of Bee Gees's 'Inside Out'. I'm not that crazy over the rest of her previous album but I love her voice. The new one comes out next month, I think. This video is pretty cute. Leslie, you go, girlfriend!
That's underground...
The Bird And The Bee - I Hate Camera (live)
The concept is cute but the 1st back-up singer from the left is cuter...
Sometimes it's all about the right casting. 'Iron Man' has a great cast.
I thought the remake of 'Get Smart' has great casting in Steve Carrell and Anne Hathaway.

Wedding Bells part 1
Tonight is Agilan's wedding. From today onwards, The Love Experiment is officially 60% married men. Just like how Scissor Sisters are 60% gay. Yeah... draw the correlation yourself.
Will post some photos of the drunken revelry once I'm back from da par-tay...

A-fucken-men...
He's a first-time MP. Probably, the first and only time from now. But still, you gotta give him props.

Training Ground @ The Esplanade Powerhouse Stage
Venue has been changed to the Esplanade Powerhouse stage, next to Makansutra.
Documentary In Amber – Documentary In Amber (Aging Youth Records)
Distributed by Aging Youth Records, the post-rock quartet also known as Documentary In Amber will be releasing their debut self-titled EP on Friday 13 April 2007. The 5-track EP (inclusive of 2 hidden tracks) is a showcase of the young band’s growth over the past 3 years since its inception.
Painstakingly recorded at the band’s home studios, the EP features the band’s trademark soaring majestic musical passages. The band features its brand of epic space rock operas with a keenly honed sense of dramatics and melody. The EP also features a collaboration with Bani Haykal of B-Quartet for a spoken word piece.
The track listing is as follows:
1. Prelude 2. 3. It’s Alright 4. 5. For These Are Truly The Last Days
Documentary In Amber
“We are not fashionable. We are not sexy and dangerous. We do not play "ambient soundscapes" We do not play "experimental" stuff. We are not intelligent.
But does P = NP?”
Inspired by the cinematic arrangements of momentary life, the 4-piece instrumental act Documentary In Amber strikes a balance between the chaotic and beautiful. With the impetus on the music and not the message, ambient guitar lines and driving crescendos are utilized, contrasting and dynamically interwoven between walls of sound.
Since its birth in 2004, Documentary In Amber has seen many line-up changes before settling into its current definitive line-up. The quartet draws inspiration from many sources such as classic rock acts like Led Zeppelin and post-rock acts like Explosions In The Sky.
Documentary In Amber are:
Daniel Lim – guitar Daniel Tan – drums Iliyas Ong – bass Lek Dakai – guitar

Arts Central rocks...
They are showing these 2 pretty cool shows.
Samurai 7 which is a spin on Akira Kurosawa's 'Seven Samurai'. The animae features samurai defending a village of rice farmers in a world where mecha and katanas can stand side-by-side. Pretty cool concept. It's on every Monday to Wednesday at 1230am.
Live From Abbey Road is screened every Tuesday at 11pm. It features acts playing 3 songs spliced with interviews. Pretty cool. Well, you get your duds like Josh Groban but I'm not a fan. Anyway, it has Primal Scream, Gnarls Barkley, The Good, The Bad & The Queen and Iron fucken Maiden. How fucken cool is that?!
I've YouTubed (I think it has officially become a verb as well) some of the clips I like or found amusing.
The Killers - Sam's Town (live acoustic)
It's pretty funny when the entire band decided to not just try their best to sound like Bruce Springsteen (still not hearing it), they try to look like him as well. Brandon Flowers denounces fame in the interview, saying something like "We want people to concentrate on the songs, not us. So what if we sold 5 million albums?" Drummer What-his-name corrected him, "6 million." Oh, the modesty, guys, the modesty!
The entire performance is here. They cover Dire Straits' 'Romeo & Juliet' as well. Yes, welcome to your latest AOR band, The Killers!
Gnarls Barkley - Transformer (live acoustic)
One of my favourite songs off the album. I love how they transform the track into some slightly more mellow. And of course, Danger Mouse's tweaking of the Moog Little Phatty and Line 6 DL4. Check that shit out, Alvin! Rocks...
Massive Attack with Liz Fraser - Teardrop (live)
Okay, for some strange reasons I'm not a Massive Attack fan when I should be. And I'm not too familiar with the Cocteau Twins catalog too. But this is a lovely performance. Should start checking out their stuff more often.
Muse - Map Of The Problematique
I keep thinking this song sounds like a New Order tune!
Jamiroquai - Runaway (live)
Never heard this one before. Nice. I love the band and their singles. Not that crazy over their albums though I have them all. Incredible live band. Strings, horns and percussions. Bastards...
Check 'Love Foolosophy' out here. It has an amazing ending.
Red Hot Chili Peppers - Dani California (live)
Finally, I get to hear that 4 metre pedalboard in use!
Nerina Pallot - Idaho (live)
Crap, she's really hot! Should have caught her at MOSAIC last month. On a more serious note, how long does one take to learn to play the piano like that?
David Gilmour - On an Island (live)
When I grow up, I still wanna be Dave Gilmour!!!
Iron Maiden - Hallowed Be Thy Name (live)
Iron fucken Maiden!!! Steve fucken Harris!!! Bruce fucken Dickinson!!! He sounds more than a little strained here. But still... \m/

Fucken champion...
Just read this at Yahoo! News.
"If you fail here, you go back to a Southeast Asian situation," Lee senior said. "Just look around you."
I guess tact doesn't run in the family... Read more here.
I've always heard of the band but haven't really heard their tunes before. But MySpace is streaming their new album in its entirety on their official page. Sounds great. Chekkit out!

Get ready!!!
I just heard from a friend that your neighbourhood friendly pirated DVD shops in Holiday Plaza, JB have been raided. The local police has obtained a list of Singaporean contact, mainly mobile phone numbers. You know who you are: those peeps who did the mail order. What I understand is that the Johore police is gonna pass this list to our cops. So, well, get ready for a raid in your comforts of your own home soon...
New toys for the boys...
Succumbed to peer pressure. Now, I join the ranks of Alvin, Yeeyong and Bryan of owning a Lexicon Lambda. Weiyuan got an Omega instead. Maybe we should have gotten a Focusrite instead. Hmm...
